My Commodore Amiga A1200

This is my Amiga A1200, the centrepiece and workhorse of my retro computing collection. A machine that I did so much on ‘back in the day’, and am happy to admit that I do so much on now in the present day.

On this machine I still ‘dabble’ in programming using AMOS, and of course, gaming, taking full advantage of the new games coming out on the system even to this day.

This machine, despite all its mods, is not connected to any network, which in an age where everything we do has some online element to it, is kind of nice NOT to be connected to anything.

The Back In Black Amiga A1200

This was a stock standard Amiga A1200, with working internal floppy drive, that I have added an A1200.net black outer case to, and replaced the keycaps with A1200.net black keycaps.

Internal mods are modest: OS3.2 Roms, 8Mb ram upgrade, internal CF Card/HD, and more recently, a GoDrive.

I have made two videos on this machine where you can see more details about it. See below for links.

My 1990’s Amiga adventures

Starting my Amiga journey with a humble A500, I eventually moved onto an A1200, complete with external HD and Canon BJ10 inkjet printer!
